ScS sofas ignoring trading standards

Purchased corner sofa from ScS sofas for £1300, day after delivery phoned them as wasn't happy with it, half of it a lot softer than the other half hence really uncomfortable. ScS sent upholsterer round then wrote to me saying nothing wrong. Involved consumer direct & wrote 2 letters quoting they were in breach of sale of goods act. Same reply from ScS. Trading standards then involved & requested ScS pay half towards independant upholsterers report, ScS refused so had to fork out £115. Outcome of report was that sofa not fit for purpose however ScS are not accepting liability and its now with trading standards & looking like we may have to go to court. Anyone had similar problems & if so how did you sort them?
