Revamping black ash furniture

Morning all..has anyone got any ideas as to what I can do with a black ash coffee table and TV unit. I dont want to throw them out but some of my new stuff is beech...are there any paint effects i could use to make it blend in?..thanks..

    You could try melamine paint, have a look here for a idea...

    Thnx for that...cool site, i'm sure I'll get lots of ideas off there..even if it isnt for my furniture.
