Painting fascia & soffits does this sound a fair price?

Hi there,

I am new to this so please forgive me if I have posted this incorrectly but I am looking for some advise. We have a 4 bed detached house, we have just had a quote to
1. replace fascia section on side of house
2. prep & provide 2 coats of paint to fascia & soffits baords
the total was £965 and would be completed over 2 days
We are really struggling even to get someone to quote in the Milton Keynes area and have no idea if this is a fair quote.

Any thought very welcome.

Wow I think that is quite a lot of money! You could probably get brand new ones for not much more...

Thank you for replying, after reading some of the issues raised here I think I am coming to the same conclusion. Hopefully for another £1000 we would be able replace them.

Have you had several quotes?
Our four quotes are:
£1900
£1800
£1100
£995

All of these are like for like quotes. Disgraceful. The £1800 woman tried to make it sound like she was doing me a favour!!
