    It's because I'm thinking of hanging my washing out!

    It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
    We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
    Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    Don't know if you've seen this bookie, but this is from the Local Government careers website. I would make sure I wrote lots of examples of things done around the key words - sensitive situations, being tactful, dealing with wide range of people, knowledge of law (if you don't know, say you'd be happy to learn ), patience, dealing with people who are upset, team worker, able to work on own, good IT skills, good writing skills (ie record keeping),

    Registrars need:
    • excellent communication skills in order to deal sensitively and tactfully with a wide range of different people;
    • a good knowledge of the law, particularly in relation to birth and death registration;
    • patience and an ability to extract information from people, some of whom might be in an emotional state;
    • the ability to work well in a team and own their own initiative;
    • the ability to understand and explain complex legislation;
    • accurate writing skills;
    • good organisational and IT skills.

    I dread to think what a last minute return from Poole to Leeds would be.

    Because I'd have to be back for just after Monday lunchtime, I did look at the train times back last night - just for a laugh.

    I'd have to be on the 5.30am :eek::eek::eek:

    oooooh, it's not fair. I had arranged to be on a train leaving Poole at 1pm, I should have been on my way north by now :(

    Thanks again BB.
    Printed it off for reference.
    I actually think that between us we may be able to get me a job of some description.

    There are some weird job titles around locally

    Python Developer
    Pharmacovigilance Associate (long name badge needed for that title!)
    Six Sigma Black Belt :confused:
    Consumer and Merket Insight Manager - do you need to be a Meerkat to apply? :rotfl: Love the typo!

    Sammy has just texted to say that they are just passing by me - presumably on the M1.
    I would say about 2 hours to Leeds.

    I had a quick look at trains to leeds too, dunno why, I never take the train unless I have to. I would much rather drive to central london than get the train in. Years of having to lug drum kits about I guess has made me like that. Now I have kids and pushchairs, which are ok-ish on regular trains but not on the tube. How people in wheelchairs get around London I'll never know, Kudos to them because it's a nightmare with all the stairs and no lifts.

    I briefly thought about jumping in the car but jas has a trip to france and germany with the school tomorrow and needs to be at school for 11pm. So, I'll have to sit here on my own again while the world has a life:rotfl:
