I'm looking forward to the race tomorrow!
Stuck at home today because hubby is doing the sponsored 3 peaks today.
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

You need to get yourself up to Leeds then!

back from work, catching up with last night.
bookie - you would make the perfect registrar. you have the perfect package of skills and experience from your working and volunteering life.
Your manner and attitude would really suit the role.
With regards to the application (that horrible big white page which says to say why you should be the successful person etc) look at the essential bits of the job description/person spec and write down all you have done in the past whichis relevant to that statement
ie confident presenter: I am a confident and experienced presenter. I have been making presentations for a number of years in my role as Assistant Commissionaire with the Guides. The presentations are to a range of audiences including guides, their parents, other guiding leaders and partnership organisations.
Then look at the next thing (ie working with people of different backgrounds) and write a paragraph about stuff you have done which is relevant to this statement and so on until you've filled the page with all the rich variety of experience you have
You would be perfect and, not that I ever see myself getting married, I'd be honoured that you would be my registrar."Stay Wonky":D

I dread to think what a last minute return from Poole to Leeds would be.
Because I'd have to be back for just after Monday lunchtime, I did look at the train times back last night - just for a laugh.
I'd have to be on the 5.30am :eek::eek::eek:
oooooh, it's not fair. I had arranged to be on a train leaving Poole at 1pm, I should have been on my way north by now
cheapest return travelling today
£147 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
First Class
£435 :eek::rotfl::eek::rotfl::eek:"Stay Wonky":D

BB what a beautiful thing to say! I'm all anyhow now.
Thanks for the hints too. I would never have thought of putting it like that. I ought to put the form up as a thread for everyone to fill in for me.
(job not available to me if I go bankrupt though. :rotfl:)0
