I totally agree DD. I've found it so much harder to control my eating as I've got older. When I was young it was all so easy, but throw in a few years of stress and frankly boredom with diets it all gets a little tougher.

Once I hit 30 I found I had to work at being thin despite a lot of physical activity. Also, it's tough when you have kids and have to feed them at certain times. I find myself picking when I'm not really hungry.

I think you will find that you have an awful lot of company on the struggling to lose weight journey, a lot more will sympathise with you and your struggles than will be on the 'oh just stop shoving stuff in your gob' bandwaggon.
Thanks Toto :) I am 30 next year... and can already see a difference between now and 5 years ago when I lost about 3 stone pretty easily(well - relatively).. before that gain (depression, ridiculous sleep cycles, and huge amounts of diet coke) I had always been slim, never even thought about my weight or what I ate. Always the way though!
Well, the food shop's all done and put away. I'm having another depressed evening though. It feels like I've got nothing done again. During the week, I at least have structure to my time, even if I'm too busy to do much with it. But on a weekend, I have the whole day ahead of me so I just drift. And then it gets to evening and I've barely done anything. I've done a couple of lines on the essay and I know if I get it finished then I'll feel so much better. I'm just struggling. I'm nearly at the end and worried that I don't have enough in it to make up the word count. And if I run out of things to say then I'm really stuck. So instead, I'm crawling along.

@ scaredy_cat - That stuff about splitting essays into sections is a good idea, definitely something to try in future. I just end up leaving everything until the last minute so I never feel like I have time to plan when in fact, if I planned I'd know what I was saying and I'd get the work done a lot faster.

I feel the same about weekends, I always think there is SO much time to get everything done but it just ebbs away, I can't believe it's Sunday evening.

    Hi y'all

I iz knackered...we all did it, we all survived and Spud and DD1 did it and even ran a bit of the way!!!

Bunny looks like a bloomin model even when she runs....she didn't look like she had run a run! Me and Sally looked like we were going to explode! It was hot, there was thousands running so it was a bit difficult to run at full speed (not that I wanted to, it was too bloomin hot).

Maz did great too (and looks fantastic by the way) and Snags and Bank of Slate put in a great performance!. Buffy is even thinking about 'trying this running lark' at some point.

I didn't do great on time (didn't get sub 60) but has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My DD's have shopped till they drop (in primark!).

Off to have a nod now....

:T well done Sammy and everyone who ran, walked, and cheered!
