Bastille celebrations

We are off to France on 10th - 20th July and would like to know if there are any celebratory firework displays in Brittany in the Morbihan area? Also any recommended campsites for adults.

there will be celebrations all over France on 14th and/or 15th July.... Depends on the town/village etc where you are... and their local budgets really...but once you are there, just asks the locals and they will tell you what's on. Also there are normally local 'fete'/street parties on that day. French takes their holidays either in July or in August so there will many events taking place.

We were in Benodet and the fireworks were good, but this was about 27 years ago!

Most of the towns, especially the bigger ones, will have a fireworks display on the night before. Vannes, for example, has a big medieval market followed by fireworks on the 13th and 14th of July (or did last year).News article.

I noticed that La Baule has a Moules Frites (mussels and chips) festival while you are there. La Baule is a great town with a lovely beach that is well worth a visit.

I used to work on a campsite called 'Parc D'Inly' just outside a lovely village called Penestin in the early 90s. No idea what it's like now but it was a nice place back then.
