HELP Needed

I bought concert tickets from onlineticketshop.com on Sunday morning, £480.

Last night i discovered this website is a scam and does not deliver the goods.

I immediately contacted my Credit Card Company / Bank, they cancelled my credit card and said i have a 'good chance' of getting the money back.

Can anyone tell me were is stand with this..

Cheers.

Section 75 Consumer Credit Act (1974) - protected for purchases over £100.

  • cheers for the reply...

I have read through a few websites concerning,
Section 75 Consumer Credit Act (1974)

"Be careful not to assume that any transaction you make on your credit card is protected, it does have to relate to a single item which is £100 plus, not including postage or fees. Also where you have paid for an item via an agent, such as a package holiday then again you would not be covered as this is not a direct deal. Also take care with your purchases as a return ticket which costs £101.00 (excluding fees would be protected, but 2 singles at £50.50 each would not."

I bought 6 tickets at £80 each does this mean i'm not covered ???

hey if the tickets dont turn up by the concert date then you have a non receipt of good claim and your bank will do a charge back, £100 minimum doesn't apply to this. Although the idea of waiting until then isn't the most pleasing you would probably have to do the same with an s75 claim anyway. without proof that their not going to stump up any earlier the concert date is usually used as the service date nd until then the company haven't actually broken your contract... :)

If they were purchased together in one transaction they will be treated as one and you should not be covered.
What they have told you is rubbish IMO - what if you bought say a box of 6 crystal glasses costing £300 (or £50 each if you prefer) are you telling me that you would not have a case to ask for a refund from the CC if the company had gone bust and you found one of the glasses damaged on delivery?
