My OH has to have a company car with his job, as well as job expenses and private healthcare. When it is converted to 'cash' for income purposes it makes his income look healthy but we don't see it, we just get penalised for it.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't mean we hit the £40k limit because we really don't bring in the income

We get a little over 40k, so will be hit by the reduction of tax credits. I'm sure we will cope without them, but with 2 under 3s in childcare I will hardly have any of my wage left. The problem for us is that we have a really big mortgage that before we had kids (and were both working full-time) we could cope with, but now my wages have dropped by 2/5 and we also have to pay £600 a month childcare.
I would happily move to a smaller house so we could have a smaller mortgage and I could stay at home with the children, but unfortunately we're in negative equity (or we were last time I checked) and don't have the spare funds to move anyway.

Hope you have a great holiday - where are you off to?

    Hi

Sounds like you had a great time at the Wiggles, its not one we watch but I did catch it very early one morning and thought how funny it was.

Its a nightmare isn't getting ready to go away - I completely understand your DH getting on your nevres am mine the same! He knows now to ignore me before a holiday cos I get stressed with the all the organising it takes - kids and dogs eh! or cats in your case lol.

If I don't pop in before hope you have a fabulous holiday and enjoy some lovely family time.
Trying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!
    Debt LBM Feb 2010 = £7841.97/ now £0, MFW 2011 = £9k in savings
MFW target 2012 to save £11,000 for Over Payments/fill ISA's and reduce lots of things - outgoings, alcohol, waste, weight

I know what you mean about the stress getting ready for a holiday. You definitely need one by the time you've done all the packing!
Have a lovely time and I'll speak to you when we both get back x
