I think its the weather! Having a bit of sunshine and then this doesn't help. I feel pretty much the same as you Michelle. The suns suppose to be out this week :j I've come to the conclusion that the weather really effects my mood.
You achieve so much , you just don't realise it as its part and parcel of your everyday life now. You're doing so well.0 -
Hugs Michelle, some days are more pants than others. I found learning to squeeze less into the day quite hard, but it is so the right thing to do.
Your diary is inspiring for your motivation and the impact of your small changes on your journey to mortgage freedom. You helped me decide to do this, and to try some of the changes, so you are having an impact on so many other people.

Michelle, even though you're at home it doesn't mean you don't need a break too especially with 2 little ones. I get frustrated too when I seem to spend half my time picking things up off the floor and no-one else does and get cross that a certain person can step over something and not pick it up!!!! But then I leave it for a few minutes and then make it into a game to tidy up with DH and kids. Sometimes I just think sod it I'm having a break.
I think you were right to drop the M/S it would have been stressful and maybe then mistakes made and then end up with you not getting paid.0 -
I looked at doing MS but decided the money wasnt worth it, I have registered with a few focus group companies and I keep looking on gumtree as they are advertised there as well. I am doing my first one on Friday in London. £60 for 90 mins it will cost me £26 on the train so still £34 for 90 mins work. (wish I lived nearer!!) Thats just under what I earn a day normally lol
enjoy your early night xMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Aw cha, I feel for you, I really do. You are feeling just like I did this time last week. This weekend I am feeling better but am struggling on the diet front. Had a meal out on Friday with lots of wine, wine last night and hmmm....wine again tonight:eek:. I cancelled some MSs last week as I just could not be 'arffed farffed'. Our health is worth more than a little bit of extra work. That is also something you should remember, you already have a, more than, full time job looking after your family, it is the most important job in world.....don't you forget it!:o
Big hugs, wish I lived nearer, would share the wine with you...honest!

Hi there Michelle,
We all have days like this, so don't worry, you're not alone! I made a very similar post on the MFW weight loss thread earlier in the week. I'd been stressed and trying to do an assignment and ended up crunching my way through packets of smartprice shortbread biscuits.
But tomorrow is another day, so take a bit of time out and try and be nice to yourself. We all fall off the wagon now and again,
Best wishes, QB0 -
Michelle If your havent already done so go through a cashback site to recycle your DH's phone if poss. I use TCB for that and it pushes the amount up slightly. I think its £3.75 through envirophone you can get.
I meant to ask you about your Tax credits and I thought you may get more. We got £1300 extra through as a one off payment and the normal weekly amount increased slightly last week. I was so shocked and it really made my day! Any extra for any of us is a huge bonus.

Michelle,
I started out on DFW and we've had many similar conversations about how we keep our MSE ways "hidden" from lots of people who would not understand, and the value we get from the MSE community. I personally have got so much out of sharing the mentality with others on here. There is a lovely social side on DFW. I'm actually going to go to Bristol next month to meet some DFW folk - we just need to pick some suitably cheap activities - suggestion was museum visit as it is freeMaybe we should have an MFW social - we could all bring a housebrick

Hi!
Great to see you sounding so motivated and positive the last few posts. After the weekend you've had, its sounds like you've really cheered up - good for you hun! So pleased for you that all these money things are coming in for, make that magnet it staying on.
I'm totally with you on the school thing being scary. I'm like you and I'm really quiet, people think I'm too stuck up to talk to them or that I haven't really got anything worth saying so I find it hard to make friends. At first taking DS was really tough and I hated standing on my own but now I'm used to it. I sometimes chat to the others but always try and say hello and have a smile and to be honest, I quite happy standing on my own now. I think it'll really help you when he starts, I know I have the baby who sleeps with my DS is there but it just gives me a little break from him and the demands of a 3 and half year old. Plus I find my DS is tired when he finishes and the afternoons we just play or bake or do something small, I don't feel gulity if I let him 'just play' by himself like I do when he's off school.
Keep up the good work! xxTrying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!Debt LBM Feb 2010 = £7841.97/ now £0, MFW 2011 = £9k in savings
MFW target 2012 to save £11,000 for Over Payments/fill ISA's and reduce lots of things - outgoings, alcohol, waste, weight0
