New suite - problem with fabric "pooling"

We have recently purchased this suite. It has pocket sprung seat interiors with a layer of dacron separately over the top (a bit like a pillow top mattress). The fabric we have is a striped chenille (sorry, only picture I've got is on my blog).
Within a couple of days of use from new the fabric on the chair has "pooled" (their term) or is loose on the seat where you've sat.
They sent someone out to look at it and the report says there is no problem. We've been told this is normal because the layer of dacron compresses and doesn't recover fully to fill the fabric cover again.
That to me seems pretty stupid, if it doesn't recover and the pooling is normal within days of it being used from new, why on earth do they manufacture them like it?
We've never had a suite do this before in 40 years, but we've never had this type of "pillow top" thing before either.
Do we have to just put up with it or would you consider it not fit for the purpose or any suggestions?

Is it pooled if you haven't sat on it for a few hours?I love surprises!0

Yes Maggie111, it stays loose, maybe recovers very slightly but nowhere near fully. It makes the suite look as though it's old rather than just having 3 weeks wear (10 days when the chap came) - but only on that seat. There are creases on the sofa seats but he said they are from the packaging and should come out, we could help them by steaming but I'm not going to do that at the moment. There's no pooling on the sofa seats.0

Personally, if it happens on the chair and NOT the sofa, I'd be making a stink. No idea as to the legalities so perhaps someone can advise you on what steps to take, but I wouldn't be happy.I love surprises!0

They're trying to say it's because it's the "favourite" chair and is used more than the sofa. At the moment it's the sofa used more as OH uses the chair and he's in hospital more than at home. On the day it was inspected the chair had been used for 4 days and the sofa for 10 days. So they said it was because when I was using the sofa I "kept changing seats to even out the wear". It's amazing how much they know about us considering they don't live here  .
Perhaps I'll go and camp out in the shop
