    I've been Money Tipped!
My midwife once told me that a lady she visited used nappies (cut up into small pads) also as breast pads instead of buying the packs from Boots etc.

You could donate them to a Sure Start group if there is one nearby, I'm sure a mum there would appreciate them.

  • When my son was beginning the toilet training stage. I always took a nappy sack, lined with a nappy out with me, then he could just wee into the bag and the nappy would soak up the contents.

after having a clear out yesterday, got some unused nappies from my DS, which i originally put away for DD they are the Size 6 Pampers - but she is to little, also I bought some of those huggies potty training pants - (pink ones) but for some reason DD always gets a rash with huggies products.

Rather than just throw them away as nappies are expensive enough to buy anyway - any suggestions as to what to do with them?

please dont suggest having another baby says my OH!!!! :rotfl:

I suppose I could ask at a parent/toddler group if someone wants them.

I used to sit my little one in one on his car seat just in case. He didn't want to wear a nappy but we had the occasional accident if he fell asleep.

I am sure any nursery/parent annd toddler group would appreciate them or try your health visitor they may know of a parent would would benefit or could use them at their clinic. Mine always had a few spare in case anyone forgot.

I would also contact huggies about the rash perhaps they will send a refund.

Defintely not. It's a sewing pattern. Although I do have a rather fetching knitting pattern for panty liners. :D

Well I am definitely OS with the HM'S Ausielass - been using them a couple of years now and saved a small fortune plus they are so comfortable. However, should not be needing them for much longer with any luck, but they still come in useful now and again. I like the idea of keeping sanitary stuff out of the landfill, same with nappies, but that is just my personal quirk.
