Wireless for G4 ibook

I feel rather embarrassed posting here, as when I bought my ibook I was doing mac technical support for a living ...

... but things move on, I was made redundant just over four years ago and got a non-technical job. I'm now at risk of redundancy again, and need to supplement my work internet access with my own, just in case I need to find another job.

I've got my current phone supplier (talktalk) to add broadband to my package, and apparently it's been done, but I've been away and haven't yet tested it. However, my desk is dominated by my work kit, so I thought I'd look into a wireless solution for my ibook... and have realised that I've forgotten pretty much all the techie stuff I knew!

So... ibook G4 with 10.4.3. I can get the keyboard out and fit an airport card if that's the best option, but my problem is, what are my options?!

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

An AirPort card would be the most elegant solution, though I think you'd need one of the original ones (i.e. not an AirPort Extreme). eBay would probably be your best bet.

Failing that, a USB dongle will work fine as long as the Mac drivers are available for it. A friend of mine used to use a D-Link model with his Mac Mini, so that might be a good place to start.

Does anyone know if any of the PAYG USB dongles work on a MAC? I have a PowerBook running 10.5.7

Vodafone, O2, 3 and T-Mobile all list Mac system requirements for their USB dongles, so it appears they do.
