In january my daughter got a LEGITIMATE blue peter badge(was awarded in November but came in Jan) she was looking forward to some free days out but because of others dishonesty this little luxury has been closed to her

That's a real shame, I hope they sort out the new security system on these soon.

I guess in the meantime you can take advantage of offers such as this one......maybe a small consolation (or indeed if you have Tesco clubcard vouchers, you can gain free entry for parks such as Legoland).

Thanks for all the info. I have 2 children aged 8 and 5.

Do you think that they may be a bit young to go?

Cheapest I can get a family room at Travelodge is £26 per night.
That's the best ages to take them - Legoland is geared more towards younger children - no big rides. I saw on the travelodge site there were £10 nights at the Heathrow M4 which is only a few miles from Legoland.

    Hi again

5 and 8 will be fine. We went with 3 and 5 year olds and it was a wee bit too much for my youngest, but the 5 year old was unstoppable.

If you go there, here is a great tip - when you get in, walk to back of the park straight away, and then make your way to the exit. This way, you won't need to queue for most of the rides, and by the time you are near the exit, most of the rides there will be empty.

    Have fun!

My 2 sons are 10 and 4 and they both had a fantastic time. Having said that , I am 32 and I had as much of a good time so what does that say about me .... :D
I have had a look on the travellodge website too and I can't see any £10 rooms at Slough either. Travellodge do have promotions all year round though so keep a look out for the tenertastic rooms and book as early as you can!!!

    Hi,

I'm looking at buying an annual off peak ticket for Legoland.

There seems to be many offers for single entry, but does anyone know how you can get hold of discounted annual family membership?

    Cheers!

Can't vouch for this this year but every year up to now the only way to get a discount Annual pass is by getting a discounted 1 day ticket and upgrading it as they give you the full entry price for your discount ticket. We've done this every year for the past 4 or 5 years. DON'T GET FREE TICKETS as they will not give you any credit for these but tickets you get off Lastminute.com etc for about £15 work OK. Haven't had to test this out again this year as our passes run until September and they do seem to be tightning up on ticket prices at the moment. You used to be able to get a discounted childrens ticket if they were members of the lego club but thats gone this year.

The cheapest way IMHO is via Tesco Clubcard vouchers (assuming you have vouchers spare). £7.25 of vouchers for an adult ticket which you can then "upgrade" to an off peak pass, getting a £29 discount off the price in the process. For kids it's £5.75 for £23 off. I've done this every year for the last 3 and it's always worked (savings are better now they've hiked the prices since changing ownership).
