Concrete roof on an extension

I've just viewed a house with an extension on the back which looks like has a flat concrete roof that has been felted. It looks like a pre-fab type extension similar to that used for garages. I've been told that mortgage providers may not offer a mortgage for this property because of the extension roof.
Has anybody had any experience with getting a mortgage for a property with this type of extension?

Concrete roofs tended to be used on outbuildings. Many council houses had stores/outside WCs (attached or separate from house) with this type of roof.
What would worry me is the "prefab construction" of the extension. If you are talking about a solid concrete roof of say 2 - 3 inches thick, then these are heavy. The weight bearing down on prefab walls doesn't make for good construction practice.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
