Can anyone tell me if they know of any good deals on a basic digi cam.
We have a canon a75 which we bought in june 05 from boots but it has gone wrong.
They have told me to return it for a refund i paid £100 so looking to replace it around that price.
Really wanted to buy one from the high street as we are going away on holiday on monday.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi thanks for that .electron wrote:
I was hoping to find one that used compact flash cards as we have already bought a few of these.
Or are these xd cards better than cf ones.
I have very basic understanding of digi cams.0 -
I think Compact Flash is the best choice as they are a lot easier to use on a variety of hardware and are basically a PCMCIA flash memory and can go upto a lot bigger memory sizes, Olympus and Fuji use XD when they realised smartmedia was to big and couldnt go upto really big sizes of memory storage.
And sony use a Memory stick, so they are all trying to corner a market
for there own kinds of memory, why not have a look here http://www.kelkoo.co.uk/ then re-post when you find something, that maybe the best way to go so folk on here can get back to you via this thread.0
