Hi. I thought it would be a good idea if there was a thread where people could contribute their knowledge of companies that don't actively advertise jobs on jobsites/jobcentre website etc. According to the job centre, about 50% of jobs out there aren't currently being advertised externally.

Could I suggest that, rather than just posting who does not advertise on general jobseeking websites, you also post how you can find out about vacancies for these organisations?Gone ... or have I?0

Network Rail and Carillion Construction both use their in-house recruitment business SkyBlue who in turn have used JCP to advertise vacancies.0 -
The BBC used to advertise a lot of jobs on Mandy.com (a website for the film and tv industry). Not sure if they still do though, and it was techy jobs.0

Never heard of Mandy.com thanks for that "Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."
All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.0 -
It's worth checking out your local authority's website. Some will let you email the application form (very handy if you have 1 main application which you copy and paste bits from).
Railway people (can't post links but it's basically .com added on)
Also look at university websites. MMU for example have advertised on the job centre website although I don't believe Manchester University do.0
