Fittted bedroom/wardrobes

Hello all
My first time, and have to say, this is a great site!
I would like to get some fitted wardobes installed in my bedroom. I don't want to use the big chains, but prefer a local company. However, the local newspapers and yell/thomsons don't seem to have any in their directories which seems strange
Can anyone recommend a fairly local company? I'm in East Ham, so not far from the West Essex borders.
I'm could also buy flatpack and use a local chippie I suppose, so any recommendations on this would be great.
Thanks

A 'local chippy' might be able to build you something
That's what they do after all; wardrobes aren't difficult to build. (for a chippy, not me!)Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

ring a few local carpentry or joinery services. Get some some quotes but more importantly, ask to see pictures of previous works. You'd want to choose someone who has done this type of job before as coming up with idea to maximise the space is a skill in its own.
Is a pity i'm nowhere near as i'd offer to have a look and give you a quote.0 -
Thank you both. I have had a couple of specialist companies come over (local rather than national), and a 3rd will be coming today. Have also contacted a couple of local carpenters, so looking forward to see what the price comparisons will be like. I'll ask for them to bring photos too.0

We ordered our own through Spaceslide, they were fairly easy to fit as long as our walls are level. Ours went straight into a recess so only the fronts were needed but side panels were not to expensive either.0
