Virgin prepaid or Cashplus for foreign travel

I have come to the end of my credit builder period with Cashplus. I am travelling to France in a couple months and was wondering which is the best prepaid card to use. I am using prepaid as I prefer to have a card that is not linked to my main account.

I was considering the Virgin flexible card since I almost never used the Cashplus and can't justify paying £4.95 a month, and Virgin seems to be cheaper.

Which card do people think is best?

Why not just change your cashplus to the 0.99 per transaction plan. I do it for my account online when I'm not using the card that much in a month; you can then change it back for months you really want to use the card to save money.
