Well I have just found this http://www.pcmech.com/show/os/917/ and to be quite

I've recently begun looking into Linux as an alternative to Windows, and have found the following sites to be very useful:

Hi guys,
Ubuntu gets my vote, my mum uses it now! She picked it up straight away.
Linux must be the moneysaving operating system.
Windows or Linux and £50 in your pocket!
Macs are very expensive for what they are IMO, very sexy looking though.
As for help on linux, theses are a couple of great sites off the top of my head:

You can now "get the stability of Windows with the value-of-money of Apple hardware."

Hello guys.
Thanks a lot for the info here. Im going to get a live linux CD first (Knoppix) and give it a go. Hopefully I could be able to partition my drive so I can put another linux OS. Im going to check also Mephis, Mandriva, and Fedora Core. See what sort of linux would suit my needs.
Though getting a MAC is a nice ideaQuite expensive though (have to money save)
Thanks ever so much :beer:Do Something Amazing- Give Blood0
