looking for a ipodtouch dock/speaker station

i want to purchase a charging station /speaker thingy for my ipod touch 1st gen

prefer something that will let me keep the rubber case on

any suggestions , im keen on maybe the bose

If you want the BOSE - probably the best IMHO, go to A BOSE outlet and get one for £150. There's one at Cheshire Oaks (NW).

yeah seen the outlets , wanted some opinions on the units themselves

They are ok but a bit overhyped, only ever experienced them in hotel rooms, they sound good, but no better than other good components IMO.

does sound very nice , but i want one that charges too

By the look of the reviews it does. BUT says it plays and charges 2nd generation ipod touch (30 pin docking)

'the compact and stylish iGroove not only plays and charges all dockable iPods .....',
I assume that the previous version (which I have) only charges 1st gen, although it plays 2nd gen, whereas the latest version plays and charges all versions??
