    Good afternoon,
Still waiting for my first job!
MEanwhile i thought I'd sign up to a third company, tried GFK asked for my postcode and then got a message saying nothing available in my area at the moment, wouldnt even let me sign up.
    Anyone else get this?

Thanks, I'm both excited and nervous at the same time :o I've signed up to 3 now. I will see how it goes. I can always sign up for more later on :)

What are the chances of getting the same job with 2 companies? eg, say GR and RE both want you to visit X place on the same day. Could you do both or would you need to pick a company? I know this isn't likely to happen, but I'm curious!

It has happened to me a couple of times and I love it when it does. As long as the briefs are not totally contradicting each other then I see no reason you can not do both.

Think this is pretty common, perhaps they rotate areas so they don't get a huge influx

Sorry this isn't mystery shopping related but I entered Charlotte in a competition and some nasty people are attacking her on her page and voting her down. If anyone has a minute to spare, she'd appreciate some votes to get her score back up. You have to click on the stars to vote:

To keep it on topic, I'm early 30's and female and I've never seen local DIY stores on TNS, but I did see one miles away when I did a national search once.

Hi, I have given her a vote. You have even got a vote from a Spanish person saying she is a beautiful girl - they love kids.

I've had it happen. As well as the client and competitor thing that's been mentioned, I've had duplicate visits where I've been sent in by the store to check the usual store standards, and on behalf of a manufacturer to see how their product is displayed, promoted etc.

Thanks. It's my friend who wrote the Spanish message. He's from here originally but moved out there.
Here I go again on my own....

  • Don't know if I'm being totally thick here, so apologies.

I've just registered with GAP (already MSing with RE), completed a couple of orientations, but on the job search only about 15 areas are listed, none of them near me (I live in a city!). Am I doing something wrong, is the list only those places with jobs available, or are there only ever jobs in those cities?

    Many thanks.

At what point did I say I didn't have any underlying syptoms ?

I am in isolation with swine flu fever diagnosed by my GP not some stupid help line
I am going to miss my daughters 21st birthday on Saturday
So think before you assume !!!!!!!!

My comment was an attempt at humour at a time that is far from funny for me

Why do so many people on this website think they have a right to judge people it puts people off and is not in the spirit of the board at all

Apologies! I didn't mean you!! And wasn't judging you, I just simply don't understand the panic from the majority of people who don't have underlying symptoms! Sorry, if you thought I was having a go at you in particular and realise that's how it might have looked with hindsight.

Who is saying people who dont have underlying symptoms want tami-flu?? :mad:My gp would not give me tami flu without my results and I for one did not want to take them if i did not have swine flu and no im not having mild flu symptoms its actually hell, especially being away from my young family:mad:.

I came on here to offer some of my jobs and a bit of relief and we get that above?? I for one have said I blame the media for making out its worse than what it is, they are looking at the worse cases with underlying health problems.

    Over n out.x

I listened to a phone in and people were ringing in and saying they were even making up the symptoms, just to get some tamiflu, in case they might need it at some point in the future and they've been given it. I know they're handing it out here as well if you've got 3 of the symptoms regardless of any underlying health problems.

And I agree, as said in my OP - I blame the media too!

This system with Gap is new this week and most of us are not happy with it! There are not many jobs at all with them at the moment so I think maybe that is why they are not showing up...wait till the new uploads go on and then maybe it will show more in your area, although a city should have more than the sticks! Burgers at least!!
