Problems with internet signal

Hi there
The internet was fine in the morning, the next time I switched it on...no signal. I use a Netgear router to supply 4 computers, the other computers are still getting the internet, so it's not the router. I plugged a laptop into the cable supplying the troubled computer and the signal was fine there so I think that isolates it to the computer.
Any suggestions for tracking down and fixing the problems, this is making my day very difficult.
TIA

A wireless PC?
If so take the WiFi USB dongle out, power down the system (unplug from the wall) plug the USB dongle back in, power it all back up.
Failing that, go to the Windows Update site and see if there are any driver updates for your WiFi.
Also
It could be worth setting your routers WiFi chanel to Auto (or a different chanel, either 1, 6 or 11) as you may be getting interference 0 -
Thanks, but it's a cable connection, that's why I was able to connect the same cable to a laptop and that works fine, it just seems to be something in the computer that isn't happy.0

Try rebooting your router, I know this is illogical, but I had a similar problem with my internet radio last week, Two PCs fine, radio would not log in.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

In IE, Tools/Internet Options/Connections Tab- Dial Up and Virtual Private Network settings- is all clear and check the LAN settings button, in the next screen no boxes are ticked, and all is clear.
Back on Internet Options try the Setup button.0
