What are my rights?

Hi guys, I’m new to this forum but need some advice. I have recently noticed a number of payments going out from my current account for which I have never requested. I believe this is all linked to an input I put into another site, however on cancelling the subscription it would appear my details have been passed on again and again. My concern is that if I cancel this card will there be any repercussions on me or my credit rating? This was all done on a debit card. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you discovered who the payment is from?

If you enter the reference next to the debit into google it will often tell you who the payment is from or you could post it up here and one of the MSE members might be able to tell you who its from. This will hopefully allow you to contact the company and request them to stop and you may also be able to adk for a refund (If appropriate)

I've successfully chased down most of the payments, however there is one that keeps comnig up as "INTERACTIVE GALLERY". I'm just getting fed up of chasing them all down really

ring the bank and tell them you have lost your card , it wont affect your cr rating but it will stop any further payments been taken.

will i not have problems with the sites themselves looking to get there money?
  • If you have genuine agreements with these companies, even after stopping the card you will remain a client and liable for payments.

In all likiehood though the companies will just cancel them and that will be the end of it. this however isnt guarenteed.
