I am sure they will be fine until the day comes when they actually have to get the bus home in the rain and come home to no dinner made for them....
Or as Zed pointed out, the housework needs doing. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Evening all very quickly, relatives of ours have had a babby and it is 3 weeks old. It hasnt had a bath in 3 weeks and it spends most of its time in a car seat. The parents are not the how should I put it, the most active of people. They are scared of bathing it and it gets topped and tailed. But I would say that knowing them even the top and tail wont be very thorough. OH is going home on SUnday and is gonna go round and say 'right this is what you should be doing, and here let me bath him for you so you can see how its done and have the confidence yourself to do it' Now they have been quite aggressive with those that have offered any help and advice. So if they are the same with OH she is gonna report them. Are we doing the right thing do you think??This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I would contact their health visitor first and let her take it on. She'll have experience. Do you know which doctor's surgery they go to?26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

You never ask the easy ones do you? Ask me one on sport...
Actually - scratch that - don't know sport ones either...
Yes, I think you're (plural) doing the right thing, offering advice as the first option. It may well be they are thinking "What the hell is this?" every time they pick their child up.

are there any leaflets available that she could take round Len? Perhaps a kind of 'I know it's a bit daunting at first and I found this leaflet helpful' or maybe do a print out from a website and say it was helpful to her when bathing the little ones??
I know it's a little white lie but it would be seen as being supportive and saying she knows how hard it is to get used to everything that needs to be done when it is so new."Stay Wonky":D

evening all -
i've had a lovely day today, busy doing nothing basically!
sounds like peeps have had some stressy times today........
Louise - great that your job is pretty secure, and well done MrJ for the response, i had a feeling he'd be open to the things you wanted to do, even better if he thinks some of it was his idea.
Jinky - lovely post in response to Louise's predicament, see you can do serious!!
Sammy - phew at getting paid! nice one..!
Bunny - sorry you're still feeling meh. ((hugs))
Pap - i wish there were something i could say, but i think HWGA hit the nail on the head, i bet your other siblings think your mum favours you,so it's all a question of perspective. I know your mum is your best pal, you've posted it often enough how well you get on and how supportive she is of your choices.
I don't think this is you getting "ill" again, just frustrated and a bit down for good reason. Being "ill" seldom comes with the recognition of it until after the event.
Doomy - talk about sledgehammer approach, lol! have you lost a parent? did you want to talk about it? Lie back on the sofa and tell us all about it...... Although seriously i do appreciate the point you wanted to make, but maybe you could have been more tactfull.......
Beanie - good for you for checking him! lol!
Today i went to gym after dropping erin at school, 2 hours in the gym and a wee stretching swim afterwards, it was bliss!
Dropped 2 bags off at charity shop, did a sunbed sesh - note to self fake tan legs tonight-, hav ejust packed for Leeds...
getting excited now!
Sammy - again - so glad you've got your eyebrows done, i wouldn't have been able to look you in the eye! Plus i don't fancy running with Liam Gallacher-a -likie on sunday!
Did you say you're getting drunk tomorrow!? Call yerself an athlete!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
