Thanks Wantabetterlife & Clearmydebts
I am enjoying the changes pregnancy brings but was a little low yesterday as had spent the day with some friends who are but mere wisps of girls and I was feeling like a heffalump!
Regular overpayment went in, total owed is now £148,637.54. Have started a picture of the 'attack the mortgage' plan. Weirdly motivating, it's a house of bricks, each worth £500 (all very Blue Peter inspired). Got two bricks filled in this month but the challenge is to find £137.54 at the end of the month to let me colour in one more brick. Sad geek, moi? Never!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Managed to make the full £500 overpayment this month. Have been considering ditching the Nationwide fixed rate at 6.79 for 10 years (well 8 years now). Phoned them up to ask if I could and they told me yes I could aslong as I moved to an alternative mortgage provider, they will not let me re-mortgage to another nationwide product. This seems like bad business sense to me but hey ho, their issue not mine. have been looking at offset mortgages and can get a variable one at 2.89% which would mean even combining both 'bits' of my mortgages and the early redemption fee I would be saving £300 a month. Not sure if I should go for it as I'm a worry wart and have always had a fixed mortgage as I fear the rise in interest rates. Any advice gratefully received please.

Good News :T:T0 -
Can only over pay by £250 this month. Rest of the over payment money will be used to pay the plasterer who is coming to sort the nursery this week. Need to wait a couple of days to se exactly what the outstanding mortgage is but it loooks like it will be £147, 800 odd. If it is, then we are bang on track as my target for this quarter was £148, 185. So I'm well chuffed

Having a yucky day today, so having a moan. Feel queasy, headachey and getting weird vision things, like some one has shone a big bright light in my eyes and there are chunks of my sight that seems to be missing (sounds a lot more dramatic than it actually is). Feel like I have been pregnant forever! 15 weeks to go and counting down. Off to bed early to try and bring this crap day to a close. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! One more day to the weekend.

Hi setmefree2
I did give my midwife a call in the morning as both OH and I were a bit freaked by the vision thing and she thinks it's lack of iron. Will be heading to the GP next week to get bloods checked. In the mean time I have the perfect excuse to say 'I just need to nip upstairs and have a nap.' any time house work need done!
