Oh no! These idiots... I hope you made him feel TERRIBLE that there were two people in danger because of his stupidity!

Thanks, to be honest I went into total shock as I couldn't feel the baby kick, but it is ok now. I was taken away in an ambulance so I really didn't get to see the driver. There were hundreds of folk there as he did a lot of damage to so many gardens before he hit me, so I can't honestly say I know who the driver was as there were 5 in his car.
On another note, I've been and bought seeds for the veg patch as this is going to be my year of growing things (other than babies!).

Well mortgage statement came in today. Agreed end date June 2033, current end date Dec 2028. Woohoo:j 4 and a half years off and I thought we were doing really rubbish:j
It's the incentive I needed to get stuck back into overpaying!

So first viewers to the flat today, said they were property developers, ho-hum that doesn't sound too good. Here's hoping they offer enough to cover the mortgage.

Quick update
Have had an offer on the flat which we have accepted. It'll cover the mortgage and any legal fees. Just waiting anxiously to see if their finance will go through.
Mortgage up date £141948 minus £5240 offset savings = £136708. Yipee!

Update
I am cr*p at keeping a diary! So, the flat sold which is such a massive relief with the maternity leave pending. Covered the mortgage and the legal fees and gave £2,200 to put towards offset savings/maternity savings for the year. In 1 day i managed to knock £65k's worth of debt off of my name which is amazing for me.
Am currently sitting waiting on my little bundle of joy to make an appearance, ha! It seems very comfy where it is even though I'm not but it has given me some time to go back and really look at our monetary targets. As much as it looks like we will still hit our mortgage free in three target of roughly £129K odd with offset savings, it is not realistic as those savings will have to be used to cover the years maternity leave.
We still have the car loan as we didn't get a chance to repay it when i returned to work due to falling pregnant so quickly.
So in short i think this coming year in terms of mortgage overpayment we will essentially be treading water and when i return to work the number one priority will be to get rid of the car loan before I go part time. We will then have to be realistic about how much we can over pay but I think it will take us another 9 years to clear the mortgage. I had hoped to do it much quicker than this but I suppose we would still be paying the mortgage off 12 years early and be able to have a bit of a life with the kids (I say plural, buut it feels like number 2 is determined to not put in an appearance for as long as possible).
Oh well, need to keep chipping away.

It has been a long time since my last post. Amazingly despite having been on 2 cmaternity leaves this month we have actually hit our mortgage free in 3 target! Mortgage with offset savings now stands at £128772. That would not have happened with out the challenge. Have signed up for mit in 3 number 3 and set our next goal as £100k a big ark but at least I'll actually be earning for most of the time if I'm lucky. Can't believe how much has changed in 3 years. Good luck to all mfw's
