Telephone/Debt Collector scam

We have had several calls form a firm of debt collectors claiming we owe £20 for telephone calls frm 4 years ago.
They have been ringing up & asking for a payment over the phone but when I ask for proof of the debt they tell me the original firm wont deal with me & I have to pay now or its going to court.
They also have an automated system that calls & states that the telephone service has been suspended & you have to press 5 to pay.
It seems theve got old customer lists and trying it on with old customers.
It must be worth thier while as some people are daft enough tomake payment & hand card details over as they ask for such a small amount.
