You both write in declaring a notice of disassociation. Basically, you are arguing that you do not have any shared finances.

Yes if you have a financial association and another has bad credit then it would effect your credit rating.
If you no longer have joint accounts etc you can remove financial association.
You can submit the form online to get this removed from your credit report. http://experian.metafaq.com/templates/experian/main/answerPage?_mftvst:answerRef=%24http%3a%2f%2fapi.transversal.com%2fmfapi%2fobjectref%2fEntryStore%2fEntry%2fhttp%3a%2f%2fwww.metafaq.com%2fmfapi%2fMetafaq%2fClients%2fexperian%2fModules%2fCredit_report%2fTopics%2fother_people%3a137325%3a2&_mftvst:moduleID=%24Credit_report&_mftvst:topicID=%24&id=GMHHDE870BTM53B7VNSV5PIPQ0

This may help you - official way to remove by the CRA's themselves:

Yes mate, exact same process. See links above for details.... assuming of course you have no financial links with him/her....

LOL, yes mate then you can have it removed - just get her to do a letter as wel, if the CRA's refuse. They will then do it, no worries.

Sorry to barge in but I am struggling a little with removing a finanical association with my ex through Equifax. Both Callcredit and Experian were very good, just completed the form and that was that - the financial link was removed. But with Equifax they keep insisting I get an upto date credit report in order to remove the association... an obviously they ask me to pay for it as I already had the 1 month free trial. Does anyone have a similar problem with Equifax? Thanks.0
