Driving from the UK to Germany!

Wandered if anyone could offer some advice about my journey to the World cup!! flying is out of the question due to prices and getting around so my chosen option is driving (well oh can drive!!) Has anyone made this journey before?i just need a rough estimate as to how long it will take and how much it will cost?! Dont know whether to ferry to France and drive the journey or ferry to Holland??

Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Try the RAC or AA route planners, you may have to do the UK and European parts individually, but it will give you an idea.

best route calais/dunkirgue/lille/belgium border/namur/aachen then you can either go straight to franffurt or cut down country depending on where the matches are

some people use french toll roads but the above route is always fast, driven many times frankfurt bradford in 11 hrs,

I used to work in Munich and if I left Munich by about 4pm, I could get to Luxembourg that night and then to Calais by mid afternoon next day without a stretch
