  • Madame_George, have you tried talking to your local housing authority?QUOTE]

I've not much experience with these things and again, didn't think of myself as a consideration, I'm more living in intimidation than being kicked all over the house...I'm thinking there's people that should get out quicker than me, but at the same time my mental strength is cracking. It's worth an enquiry - thankyou.

when do you plan on going bankrupt?
Are you moving out becasue you cant pay the mortgage? If so, there is no hurry, people have missed months and months of payments and the house hasnt been repossed, this gives you time to save for your br fees and for 6 or even a few months rent for when you have to move, just an idea??

hope your not feeling too down, youve taken a huge step deciding on br but believe me, in a few months when its all done and your in a new flat you'll be so so much happier, just keep going.
btw, your dad sounds like a nice man :-)

just reread your op, is your ex still in the house and your still living together, if so sorry i missed that.

we found our flat on gumtree and it was all fine, no credit checks, just employer and previous landlord references, this was after I was br though

You've just brought a tear to my eye Sunny Bear. My dad is wonderful, I adore him. We lost my mum to early onset dementia around this time last year. And all this happening close to the anniversary I think is all very emotional. Losing my mum was what brought me to leave, to have the strength to think of my own wellbeing and consider my own future.

Yes, you're right, my ex-husband is still in the house, he wants to hang around here until it gets close to repossession before he leaves himself.

I can't bear my days with him anymore and so trying to get out quick and considering my oncoming mortgage arrears worsening my credit.

Thanks for your caring post, I'm feeling a bit brighter from the comments :)

...this one time i needed to go upstairs with heating engineer and the dog forced his way through the doorway and sat at top of stairs between me and the man to make sure i was ok. so out of character for him but he was making sure i was ok :)

lol how adorable, I'd love a dog, but 2 close friends are allergic, I think I'll have to settle for a goldfish for company ;)

Thanks for your lovely posts Angel :T
