Is Husband entitled to half of business?

Hi guys, i am asking on behalf of a good friend of mine, she has an appointment with a solicitor but not until back end of next week, i just thought someone out there might be in the know..
I own a cafe, and because of family reasons, i am selling up, i have a very close friend who is willing to buy the business from me, she has applied for a loan to fund this, but the problem is, she is seperated from her husband and not yet divorced, they have been seperated for 5 years now, she wants to know, when the time comes to divorce, if she goes ahead with the purchase, will her husband be entitled to half of the business?
As it is now, he left the marital home 5 years ago, has barely seen her 2 children (now 15, 17) he hasnt supported them financially and left her with a mortgage which she has paid herself for the past 5 years.
Any one out there with any insight?

In theory yes. But a good solicitor/barrister should ensure a financial settlement fairly heavily weighted in her favour, if the facts are exactly as you have stated.0
