Application dialog - help

Hi
Can anyone help? I have had a new hard drive for my works computer and when I am in word/excel and try and open or save a document it takes me to my groupwise and brings up a box saying open/save with application dialog or change dialog. It is driving me nuts.
Any suggestions how to change it? Its windows XP 2000 I think! We have no IT support in work as we work in a very small company so any suggestions gratefullly recieved.
