Virgin - how long for processing?

Options
Hi,

I have a Halifax card with a promotional period ending late Jul. I was wondering when is the latest should I apply for the Virgin credit card to ensure the BT will arrive in time? Thanks!

Trying to time a balance transfer to one card from another needs a calendar and a massive amount of luck :)

Too many variables, application can be declined, referred to underwriter etc etc etc. And then the fund transfer can take up to 10 days, but could be less, and I recently had a fund transfer from Egg took over a month to extract the funds!

Personally, I'd apply for the Virgin card now and stick the money in your stooze pot along with the Halifax card. Then confirm the exact date for the Halifax 0% deal ending and pay it from your stooze pot a week before then. Always better IMO to be able to confirm card is repaid with a safety net.

Better to sacrifice a few day's loss interest than miss the repayment date and pay interest on your stooze.
