Hi.
I am in the process of changing home contents/building insurance from the very useless Lloyds TSB.
No matter where I look, ALL companies, without exception, are rated as good or brilliant right up until you make a claim!!
Are there ANY companies that don't make a big fuss??
I'd been claim free for nnniions of years.
I could understand if I had made lots of claims.

NFU, Chubb, Co-op and Hiscox all sell themselves on high levels of customer service. With Chubb and Hiscox though you do pay a bit extra for that privelidge but the policies are highly regarded in the industry.
You should also consider that people as a rule tend not to post their positive experiences so the balance of opinions on review sites tends to be skewed.0 -

I try to make a point of letting companies know that I have had good customer service, just as I do if I have had bad.
Thanks for the reply, co-op have come out best for me so I may give them a go.
It can't be as bad as Lloyds and it's £135.00 cheaper!!
If it's a bad experience I know where to come looking0 -
Lewie are you aware of cash back sites?
Quidco are offering £40 cash back for co op home insurance.
Here is the link, if you have not gone through a cash back site you will need to join the cash back site and then clear the cookies from your computer and get a quote for the home insurance through the cash back site. Be aware that sometimes the money does not come through so look at it as a bonus if it does.

Here is some advice from Martin on Cashback http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cashback-websites
Getting cashback is very MSE
If you have already got a quote from CIS it will probably have left tracing cookies on your computer so it recognises you when you go back. You will need to delete these, either let get your virus software to do it or you can do it yourself by clicking on "Tools" then "Internet Options" then "Delete Browsing History" then "Delete Cookies"
Then just register for quidco (Its free, i think they take £5 out of your first cash back). Then just get a quote through quidco from cis and you should then get your cash back in anything from a few weeks to 6 months time. Bear in mind that occassionally you don't get your cash back so look on it as a bonus, although I would assume CIS would be pretty fair on it
There are loads of other cash backs on there and there are loads of other cash back sites0
