not sure myself but i know they do a paint pod tester area in my local bnq where they will show you how it works and sort of try before you buy think they will do this in most bnq's the only thing is they are expensive the paint to put in them is more expensive and i shouuld imagine le length of the line between the roller and paint tub will be the amount of paint you lose everytime you use it

the best thing you could do is go to bnq and have a go on one and ask the questions i havent even seen one of these in the flesh but my friend is a paint sprayer and he uses pumps on a much larger scale he always goes on about how much paint is lost just to fill the line i think these will be the same sort of idea of usage

We have had a number of threads concerning the 'paint pod' on this site
AND the conclusion is .. some think its wonderful and others rubbish

I have looked at a purchase, but will wait until I saw a good deal ( under £45)
and when I wanted to do a LOT of painting , preferable one colour ( white ??)
    all at the same time.

One tip , posted , was to wet the roller first.
how much paint is lost just to fill the
Not a problem ??? as the paint is returned to the pod ( if it works as too the ad.)

when using the roller and trays i always get the last droplet out.........i

    Wish I could.

i must admit i thought these were a bit gimmicky. we borrowed one from a friend and i was very impressed

one tub of paint has done 3 rooms of a good size - 2 coats each and there is still a little left in the tub.

the pod also cleans the roller for you afterwards which is good and there is no spray like you would get with a roller.

we got one recently from b&q for £35. i wouldn't pay much more

My main beef with this pod thingy is the cost of the paint that you HAVE to use, according to the instructions. Use any other paint and all hell breaks loose apparently

We bought one for the same areas & it made it much quicker & easier (I hate cleaning rollers, brushes etc.). The paint wasn't much more expensive than the normal dulux stuff and it went a long way. The main downside was the lack of colour choice in anything other than magnolia.

we bought one and it died almost immediately, we took it back and changed it but havent used the replacement yet. the colour choices are poor though. unless you like shades of cream.. and they cant colour mix them.. if it works it will be nifty though.. i normally like paint pads myself..

I have Dulux paint pod and personally think it is brilliant. I like white walls so bought it to do a whole house, and white is actually the cheapest (£20 instead of £30 for other colours). :D It is quick and easy to use, even cleaning it is not a pain I though it would be.

the £30 cost per tub of paint does initially seem high but the amount of painting you can do with that tub far outweighs the amount of normal paint tubs you would use for the same area.
