Holidaylover - check out the recent reviews on TA - some recent ones are nice and positive - maybe things will not be as bad as you fear!0

I know its not much of a consolation but check out the neighbouring hotels, they may well let you use their pool and beach (Possibly for a small fee) at least it would be some relief if the work turns out to be noisy.0

            Hi holidaylover,
You could go to the resort that you have booked and see how bad it really is.
Last year we went to a hotel in Hurghada that had building work been carried out, as it was July the heat was unbearable to work in and to be honest did not effect us.
When you get to the resort if it is truely terrible, stand your ground and get moved to another hotel(this will cost a lot less than you were quoting earlier in thread). I have done this in the past with Thomas Cook.
Hope this is of some help.......0 -
