    I just wanted to agree with what others have said.
    I pay all my bills by direct debit and have a list of these on a spread sheet.
    On pay day I subtract all of this money from what I've been paid. I then know what I have left for the rest of the month. Everytime I spend I subtract it from what I had left and keep an eye on this on a daily basis. If the money is getting low and payday is still a way off I spend less.
    I'm sure you could adapt this to the way you get your money. Good luck.
