Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this "box"
When I visit a web site with a picture or something similar, I get this box coming up, and I am unable to open the picture.
"Your current security settings prohibit running Active X controls on this page.
As a result the page may not display properly"
Can anyone help please?

you need to go into Tools > internet Options > security and change your security settings so you can run active x controls. If you have a poke about in the security box you'll see the options there.0

Go to Internet options => Security => Custom Level. You might have some Active X controls disabled. You can select enable or prompt so that it will ask you each time if you want it to run0

If Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Security Tab, Custom Level, Scroll down to Active X Controls and Plugins then select Enable then OK.
Just make sure that you want to do this though as some nasties come via Active X0
