laptop = either a USB one or PCMCIA into the USB or PCMCIA port.
PC = take the lid off and plug it into one of the sockets on the board. or use a USB one into a USB socket.0 -

isnt a wireless card a card and not a usb or will it come with a usb= \
take the lid off? does it matter if the comps a sort of an old version but its from dell..well its not the latest (its white)0 -
Well I expect then its a case of removing the PCs cover and installing a PCI wireless card, so you want to turn off PC, remove and connections like power cable printer so on and so forth so you just have the actual base unit, I would put that on a table where you can see what you are doing in good light.
Remove any screws that hold the case in place then take off or slide off cover
then find an empty slot and remove blank panel if ness now blow out any dust that maybe in the spare slot to ensure a good fit, now fit the card and put in holding screw that held th blank panel and then reassemble outer case and reconnect all cables and then restart PC.
***note** whislt cover of PC is off its a good idea to blow any dust out of PC
just go carefull and DO NOT use a vaccum.0
