Function keys on start up

Can anyone explain (or point me to a website) the different function keys during boot up of a system running Windows XP. I've spent a while on Google and haven't managed to find a site which clearly lists the functions of each F key on boot up. I know that F8 gets me to safe mode and I think F2 is setup but what about all the rest? Haven't got a problem, just curious to know. Thanks

Thanks for that electron, but as far as I can see none of those sites deal with using the function keys during boot up.
