How do I increase the amount HSBC are offering?

Hi

I originally made a hardship claim with HSBC claiming £1060 (without interest). After filling in the expenditure/income form and discussing this with them over the phone, they have today offered me a settlement in writing of £380.

I need help trying to raise this amount that they are offering because;
  • My account with them is currently o/d £1875, against my agreed o/d limit of £1500.
  • I have a loan with them which I have missed the last three re-payments on, meaning I am owing that account £180
  • My phone bill is outstanding by £120 (which I have scanned and sent to them previously)
  • Another direct debit which has been cancelled is billing me for a further £80 (again, which I have scanned and sent to them previously)
  • Since my claim was put forward I have had an £85 charge deducted.
Does anyone recommend a letter template for me to use, or has anyone got any advice on what I should/shouldn't say in my response. How much should I aim to ask for? Has anyone had any success with a situation like this and if so how did you raise the offer?

Any advice is very much appreciated

    Do you have any priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities)?
    I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

    I am also in debt with my rent, but its a very informal way of renting with my mothers boyfriend so its not causing me any trouble.
    Do you suggest I bring this up with HSBC as well as the afore-mentioned issues? Is there anything else you recommend?

    Many Thanks

    The answer is yes because it is your only priority debt. Am not sure they will up the amount.
