Using M&S Credit card Abroad

I have a M&S credit card that was issued in April, so it's still under 10 months interest free. I go to Ireland on holiday in August & want to know how it compares to other cards for spending/cash withdrawls? It's a camping holiday so I don't want to have too much cash with me
The only other card I have is Halifax debit & see that Martin labels this as a 'card from hell' !! I don't really want to apply for another credit card if I can avoid it.
Can anyone give me any advice???

if i was you id apply for the Post Office, Abbey Zero or a Nationwide card as they are all fee free on purchases abroad (except NW outside europe) compared to your M&S CC
could try the Post Office Travel Money Card, a pre paid visa electron card
http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/jump1?catId=19300207&mediaId=26800661 take a look maybe an interest for you if you dont want a CC or to wait for a CC to arriveplease just thank me0 -
The only reason I would brand my M&S card as the "card from hell" is that it never works abroad.
My partner has one and has informed them that we travel to france every other weekend (family holiday home), however pretty much every time I go to use it, it's declined. However, it does work on the odd occasion.
I have told them time and time again, we go to France ALL the time, we need it to work (my partner loves the points we get), but still it's rubbish and continues to be very temperamental. Even in the UK I can't seem to make a purchase without them calling me first (tried to book flights once, total cost just £500, declined).
We stick to the bank accounts like nationwide flex that offer no fee and they always work.Vanquis- Limit £1250, balance £0
Capital One Classic- Limit £800, balance £0
Natwest Current Account- £800 OD limit, approx £600 OD
Loan- £3300, will be paid off by Dec 09
Student Loan- paid off Dec 09 (That's £150 a month extra! Woohoo)
Empire Catalogue Account- £750 limit, balance £300
