Help

Could someone please advise me on this.
I put in a claim for my bank charges under the financial hardship guidelines (on maternity leave and struggling). The bank had agreed to pay me back £533, this has gone off the bank charges my account is overdrawn by, which the bank had said was on hold while the test case was going through.
Can i ask the bank to give me the money, as I am no better off, and it's charges they have applied to my account since moving to another bank!!
Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated.

P.s the original cliam totals about £1500, going back over the years
Thanks Lynn

DO you have any priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities)?

  • Hi, unfortunately I do. This was all stated to the bank when they asked for my income and expenditure. What has really cheesed me off with this is they have sent me a cheque for £7pound and the rest of the payment has been applied to the charges they have applied to my account since i moved to another bank, so basically i haven't got anywhere with it. I never agreed to their proposal, they wrote to me saying that they believe the charges where raised correctly in accordance with their charging policy, and due to my personal circumstances they have agreed to refund charges of £533.62 but this can't be a refund as my account was not in use.

I need help on what to do next
    Thanks:mad:
