    Thank you. :)

Really looking to get my 'treat' now, not that I know what it's going to be yet.

    I guess I could've just said £1 for £100, still makes £4 for £400... :rolleyes::D

Hey Suep, I was going to buy a tin form the poundshop, but figured that's a pound I could save instead!

So I've made one from an old jar with a LOT of tape over it. Just left a little gap to allow money and suggestions to go in. Doesn't look very pretty, but does the job!

Also, wrapped some paper round the outside. Put 'DEBT FREE REWARD' on it and will also use it to mark off my debt as it goes down.

Sorry Roxie meant to include you in my multi-quote last time ;)

I have just been to home bargains and guess what I found..........doh, doh duuuuuh..................A money tin, sealed with a slot at the top. I think you open it with a can opener. It was 49p :j:j:j and quite big about 7 ish inches..............................so I am good to go, just need to pay more debts off

hello sistercas, I've added you in. Good luck with your debt shifting! I guess we can take the number from the one on the list. So in your case you'd be member no. 8 ;)

Your tin sounds cool and cheap Sue. Probably much prettier than mine! Have you added any money yet?

tirlittan, its really nice to think about spending on somthing again, isnt it!

I've had a few more ideas for the reward, with the help of friday daydreaming!

Have been thinking that it would be a good idea to do something that a) you've never done before, b) you would never normally do, c) a complete indulgence or d) something you can enjoy for a while ie. a subscription.

    so far...
    • 1st class train tickets to a day out
    • year's magazine subscription
    • a spa day
    • indoor skydiving session (!)
    • night in a five star hotel
    • HotelChocolat tasting club
    • stupidly expensive shoes/handbag
    • Takeaway/restaurant vouchers so you can have them whenever you want
let me know if you think of any others :)

I was feeling a tad guilty, 49p is 49p after all and it wasn't very MSE of me !!!! But when I got home and showed OH it and explained what it was for.....................his reply was
"But you can't get in it" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Yeah I know thats the point, it was when he said "What if I want to take a bit out of it..............." that's when I knew it was 49p well spent..................might go and get another and save it :p just for me

Hah, bless him. Think now you know where all your money's been going!

Well, it has to be better than a ball of tape round an old jar. I;m back dating mine to where my debt was when I started, hence the £12 in my sig. Good luck with getting your first deposit :)

I'm going to save my money in a savings account, and hopefully get some added interest as well.

My choices would definitely include stupidly expensive handbag/shoes. Not really a big handbag person and never spent more than £65 on shoes, but it would definitely be an indulgence, a real "I deserve this" statement.

    Other options for me
    -seriously expensive bottle of wine/champagne
-meal out in my favourite restaurant and stay at their gorgeous B&B rooms

I'm sure I can think of more if I put my mind into it. ;)

Ooooo a handbag does sound yummy, we were at a big shopping centre ages and ages ago and my daughter spotted these fab bags.................can't for the life of me remember what the heck they were called but at £130 they sure were quality.

I have to say I am sticking to the bear, its the only thing I WANT :cry::cry: I can't justify the expense otherwise and it woooooould be an investment :rotfl::rotfl:
