Help please

hi all could any 1 help me , so i know wot im talking about on the phone , ok wrote to n/wide back in 2007 about bank charges, got a letter back saying they were fair not refunding any charges, so in april 2008 did mcol, then i started getting letters from kpr , they had passed my account to a debt collection agency , i still owe n/wide £289 but this is made up of bank charges, and my claim is for £1,250 , now i told kpr this debt was in dispute and left it at that , then it got passed to allied international, who i just had a phone call of and she was very rude i mite ad, wouldnt let me get a word in, now n/wide have told her to try and sort the money i owe n/wide and repay it back i said the account was in dipute and i wouldnt be paying any thing back till the out come of the test case , so said u said that last time on the phone, i said i know that but i dont know when the out come will be , so she will have to wait like i have to , she didnt really know any thing about the test case , i told her i had logged my complaint wiv mcol , she made out i was lying and wanted proof , so could i just ask i thought as long as the account was in dispute my account couldnt be passed to a debt collection agency, any advice plzzzzz thanks jill

    Jill, let the DCA say what they want and tell them that you will pay them nothing because you are in legal dispute with Nationwide(if you have the claim number from the courts then quote that). However, please keep a log of everyone that calls you. Should any DCA ask for money, then tell them that you want them to take you to court so that your case for bank charges can be heard since Nationwide owe you more than the alleged debt owed to them.

    hi again, i am in f/h but havent gone done this route wiv n/wide as i no longer use this account but i did speak to the lady yesterday at n/wide after my phone call wiv the debt collection agency, she said my account was with n/wide then collections cos i refused to pay the charges they sent it to kpr then they sent it to allied international, u have answered my question b4 on f/h but ive gone down that route wiv tsb cos the amount wiv tsb is £4,000 and have wrote to tsb but not getting far wiv them, i have arrears on my morgage and have to pay an extra £20 per month of last years poll tax, as we were took to court cos i owed £158 of last year:eek: i just thought i would leave n/wide as it was , and not claim f/h and concontrate on tsb thanks jill

    I would still claim FH with them as well to be honest. And any DCA calling you can tell them that the account is in dispute as a result of the charges themselves.
