Dr Who DVD episode missing...?!

Sorry if this is in the wrong area, but I'm really confused and disappointed!

I bought the 2nd series of Dr Who from Asda at the weekend and was really excited as it was £15 when RRP is £60!!

I watched all the disks that day (yes I'm sad!) and when I got to the last disk I watched the first 2 episodes but the last episode of the series isn't on the disk!! It's just...missing!!

It says in the booklet that the last episode should be on and I have done everything I can think of but not sure what to do!

Is there anything wrong with the disk? Not sure whether to take it back to ASDA or to speak to the BBC shop people about this, as I don't want a refund, I want the episode!! ASDA only had the one boxset so it's not as simple as taking it back and exchanging it.

Any suggestions??

I think all you can do is take it back to Asda for a refund. Perhaps they had a 'faulty' batch, or maybe you just got a dodgy disc, but all they can do is refund or exchange really.

Asda probably have had more stock in since then or they can order it in for you or get a refund and buy it elsewhere?

mr_fishbulb, it is the same box. I have stupidly thrown my receipt out, by the time I realised, the recycling guys had been and now I have a missing episode. The frustrating thing is that I've never seen that episode and I was really looking forward to watching it!!

the shop will give you a refund or exchange based on proof of purchase - this does not have to be a receipt. This is according to the Sale of Goods Act.

You should also find if you go in and tell them the date and time you bought it, plus your card number (if you used a card), they can pull your receipt fromthe system anhd use that, and give you another copy of it.

you should be ok with anything that shows the transaction, maybe a statement?
