Egg "Refund of credit life fee"

I wrote to Egg and Capital One, both of whom had charged me for payment insurance in the past, asking for a refund of the charges.
I've heard nothing back from either of them yet, but looking at Egg today, there are two mysterious credits to my account. One is for £89.77, and marked as "ADJUSTMENT TC 283", and the other is for £380.12, and marked as "REFUND OF CREDIT LIFE FEE".
So, a total of £469.89 wiped off my credit card, and I'm not even sure whether it's the PPI refund or not!?
I've also asked Egg for details of all charges with a view to trying to get those back, but these amounts seem too low to correspond to anything to do with that.
So, without having received any online messages or letters from Egg yet, would you say that I've been refunded my PPI?

I'll see if there's any post on the subject when I get home, and if not I'll ask Egg about it tomorrow.
In the meantime, although Googling the phrase "credit life fee" brings up surprisingly little, it seems to be an American phrase used to mean something similar to PPI. Since Egg is owned by Citigroup, I wonder if that's what they're calling it these days. Just a thought.0 -
Sure enough, there was a letter waiting for me when I got home from work last night. Egg say that they have looked into my complaint and decided to refund the PPI. The amounts refunded do look about right, and although I originally asked for 8% interest to be added, I think I'm happy with what they've done.
All it took was one letter, so I recommend trying it with Egg.
Does this thread need moving to the success stories bit now?0
