Tuning in a TV

My son has lost the remote control for the televisaion he had whilst at university and we can't get it tuned in to the system at home. It only has two little buttons the front of the set. Should I buy a new remote control and, if so, which one do I buy or is there some way of doing it manually. Hope someone can help as it would solve a lot of arguments over television programmes over the festive season.

Thanks
Waddle you do eh?

since you do not mention the make and model number of the television in question you will have to look through a list of replacement remote controls from farnell/cpc here.

Does this product you mention replicate the tuning options of the unmentioned TV ? Some advice suggests that if you need to retune, then the manufacturers own or a guaranteed clone is then way to go. See here.

Try pressing both buttons together, this usually brings up the onscreen menu. Then use either of the buttons to navigate through menus.
