Mac book Pro Battery

Hello,
Iv had my mac book pro for roughly 3 years, i have had ZERO problems with it what so ever.

Got home from work last night and turned it on, was sat at my desk and i noticed that as i was typing the laptop was wobbling (like when you use a keyboard for a pc and one of the legs if not stood correctly)
At first i thought maybe im just tired, so i turned it off and went to bed, i have just turned it on again now, and the same thing happened again, so i turned it over.
Instantly i could see the problem, The Silver casing on the battery (the edge that rests on the table) was bent out of shape, i have no idea how this could of happened because i havent moved the laptop for about a week.
It would appear the heat from the fans over the last few sunny days has maybe caused it to buckle.

What should i do?

Obviously it needs a new battery, but my concern is that im going to have to shell out £100 to get one.

Any help is welcome and muchly appreciated!

This is a well known problem and it is almost certain that the battery will be replaced by Apple even though the laptop may be out of warranty. A number of Macbook Pro batteries were subject to recall for this very problem. Call Apple's tech support or make an appointment to see the Genius Bar at your nearest Apple Store.

Get it to an Apple store to look at odds on they will replace it for free and dont use it in the meantime as there is a risk albeit a VERY small one that it could go pop and you don't want that to happen when it's on your lap

It's possible they will still replace it, but the program to replace affected MacBook Pro batteries finished on the 31st May.

Thank you all for your advice, I rang them and they are replacing it free of charge. Was quite lucky, they said it had to be under 300 cycle count and mine was 311.

That's a small amount of BS on their part. Certainly 300 cycles is important for a "normal" battery - I just had mine replaced at 270 cycles - but yours has blown/buckled which is a whole different thing. You could be at 600 cycles and they would still replace a battery which did that.
